What is Pickleball?
A popular new sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and life-sized ping pong. Pickleball allows for the same fun and social aspects of tennis while only requiring a quarter the space! It does not take the rigorous skill, proficiency, or physical fitness of tennis lessons either. Pickleball lines can also easily be added to any existing tennis court transforming it into a multiuse recreational facility.
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in America. It can be played in singles or doubles. The rules are simple, and the game is easy to learn. Playgrounds, apartment, and condo complexes are flocking to add these courts to their amenity packages, but you can also have one right in the comfort of your own backyard. The game can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels. It is easy to start but hard to stop.
Pickleball Doubles Strategy
Pickleball involves strategies that include lobbing, overhead slamming, passing drive shots from the baseline, and fast volley exchanges at the net. The key strategy to remember is that the team that reaches the front court in a net volley position first will be in the best position to win the point. Again, the most effective position of play is when both players on the same team are side-by-side in the attack position directly behind the non-volley zone line.

The game with the funny name, pickleball is a very interesting and fascinating sport. The game was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, Right outside Seattle, Washington.
In the beginning when Joel Pritchard and Bill Bell created the game, they were trying to pass time with their families. Little did they know that they were creating a sport from what was once a neighborhood game. Today, more than 3 million Americans are playing the game that they created. Pickleball courts can now be found in the thousands in educational facilities, health clubs, parks and fitness centers all across the nation!

Experience
DeShayes Pickleball Courts has been building courts for 40 years! We would like to use this knowledge we’ve accumulated to give you options and guidance to create a court that provides you and your family with a lifetime of exercise, recreation and fond memories.
Our beautiful court is finally finished and we couldn’t be any more thrilled than what we are! Not only is it an asset to our home, but it enhances the beauty of our yard. Everyone that comes into the yard comments on how beautiful and impressive it is. What could be better than looking out my kitchen window and seeing our court filled with my sons and their friends?
This summer we had several get togethers with family and friends and the court was the focal point of the day. Both adults and teenagers played together and had great fun. The best part was the versatility of the court. Our court definitely exceeded our expectations. Thanks also to your professional construction team. They worked diligently and completed the job right on time. I am so glad we got our DeShayes Court!

I would highly recommend a Deshayes Pickleball Court to everyone. You won’t be disappointed.
“I had a DeShayes Pickleball Court installed at my home a few years ago and my family and I couldn’t be happier. Joe DeShayes and his team worked with us to design a court that best fit our needs and desires, as well as the size of our backyard. They installed and delivered on schedule; and to this day I can call them for immediate maintenance/repairs. I would highly recommend a Deshayes Court to everyone. You won’t be disappointed. ” – Jim, Shamong NJ
We had such a wonderful experience from start to finish with this company. We did a lot of research and received a huge range of prices and “sales” of what we “need”. Joe and his team asked the right questions, took the time to review the property, assess our wants and needs and came up with the perfect solution and price! It was great to hear the options we could have according to wanted. Great company!!! – Trish

Smile Train Charity
I wanted to introduce you to our company charity, Smile Train. Knowing that my children are happy and seeing them smile is one of the greatest feelings in the world. For every court we finish, DeShayes will donate the cost of one cleft lip operation on the behalf of the client so that a less fortunate child will finally be able to smile, as should be the right of all children. Our wish is that every child has many reasons to smile, and our mission is to make a DeShayes Court one of those reasons! DeShayes Inc. supported the 1st Annual Vilotti Classic which plays a critical role in aiding the Andy Talley Foundation’s ongoing efforts to operate and expand their “Get in the Game. Save a Like.” (GITG) program.
The Mission of the Andy Talley Bone Marrow Foundation is to increase the odds of finding lifesaving donors for patients in need of a bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant by registering young, committed and diverse donors to the NMDP Registry. “Get in the Game” is a program designed to educate college football players and their peers about the ability to save the lives of people diagnosed with life-threatening blood cancers through marrow and stem cell transplants.
Every spring, Get in the Game football teams from across the county organize donor registry drives to raise awareness and expand the registry by enlisting committed members from their campus communities.
