Pickleball Slam 2

Last year we reported on the inaugural Pickleball Slam featuring tennis greats John McEnroe and Andre Agassi. This past Sunday the biggest grudge match in pickleball continued this time featuring Maria Sharapova on McEnroe’s team while Agassi was joined by his wife Steffi Graf.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf defeated McEnroe and Sharapova to win a $1 million purse in Pickleball Slam 2, which was broadcast in primetime on ESPN at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino on Sunday night.

 

 

McEnroe only slammed his paddle to the ground twice during the event in patented frustration.

 

 

“There’s no reason why a tennis player can’t have a paddle in their bag and pull it out at any time. Courts are everywhere now.” Agassi added after the match.
